Vaccinations for children against meningococci

Vaccinations for children against meningococci

We have started implementing a new vaccination program - against group B meningococci for children up to 3 years old in the Mazovian Voivodeship. The main goal of the Program is to minimize the risk of contracting meningococcal disease. After qualifying the child for the program, a vaccination against group B meningococci will be performed. As part of the medical qualification for vaccination, parents will be educated about meningococcal infections. The child may take advantage of the full vaccination cycle: two doses of the primary vaccination and one dose of the booster vaccination.
Who can participate in the program?
Children aged from 3 months to 3 years, whose parents reside in the Mazovian Voivodeship and declare participation or intention to participate in a nursery or children's club, will be able to benefit from the services. Every child participating in the program will have the opportunity to receive the full vaccination cycle (2 basic doses and 1 supplementary). Children who meet the above formal conditions and have already started the vaccination cycle outside the program will be able to continue receiving the full vaccination cycle within the program.
Vaccinations are voluntary - parents or legal guardians will have to give their consent to participate in the program beforehand.
Vaccinations will be carried out in 5 locations:
  1. District Specialist Clinic 02-353 Warsaw, ul. Szczęśliwicka 36
  2. District Specialist Clinic 02-110 Warsaw, ul. Sanocka 6
