We celebrate World Diabetes Day on June 27 on the anniversary of the discovery of insulin by Frederick Banting and his assistant Charles Best. According to the World Health Organization, over 400 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes, and by 2035 their number could rise to 600 million. Undiagnosed and untreated diabetes can lead to numerous complications, so if you have symptoms such as:
frequent feeling of thirst
frequent urination
frequent feeling of hunger
dry mouth
weight loss
blurred vision
extreme fatigue
sleepiness – apathy
concentration difficulty
you should make an appointment with your doctor to perform diagnostic tests.
