According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the fourth most serious disease worldwide and one of the leading causes of suicide. About 350 million people around the world suffer from depression. In Poland, it accounts for 3-4% of all mental disorders, and approximately 1.5 million people are likely suffering from it. Determining the actual scale of this phenomenon is difficult due to the fact that many people do not admit to this disease. At SZPZLO Warsaw-Ochota, we have been creating a support system for mental health crises for various age groups for years. In 2023, as part of a pilot program, we established the Ochota Mental Health Center.
